All about us..
The Green Brownie sell organic and Fairtrade chocolate brownies in many different flavours and freshly made on site. We aim to produce amazing brownies without impacting on the environment or compromising the taste.
We moved from London to North Devon 5 years ago to live a self-sufficient lifestyle on a small holding where we keep goats, chickens, pigs and bees and grow most of our own vegetables, and some of the produce we use in the brownies, have you tried the goats milk fudge brownie or the goats milk salted caramel? We retain most of the waste we create on site, then take it home to compost for use on our land. Even the hygiene gloves, cloths and kitchen scourer don’t get binned but composted and the cleaning products are environmentally friendly.
Ingredients for the brownies are sourced as locally as possible. The butter & eggs within walking distance of their home. Brownies are made using 72% organic Fairtrade chocolate and are baked on site, reducing any waste and increasing the production efficiency, the product is fresher & fresh baked brownies smell great. All our brownies are gluten free too. A large section of the menu is now vegan and even a raw brownie, which is gluten free, vegan, dairy free and sugar free! We use locally roasted and freshly ground coffee from Sabins coffee. We use their SOS Africa blend which supports the SOS Africa charity. We have a selection of Organic and Fairtrade teas. Our hot chocolate and chai can be topped with homemade flavoured marshmallows, freshly made iced coffees and iced teas. Healthy fresh baked muffin or porridge for breakfasts ...with yoghurt, fruit, seeds and honey.
We are increasingly aware of the impact festivals and food traders in particular have on the environment and are fully in support of any steps and changes we all must do to lower the impact we make. We have been backing the use of reusable cups for a few years now and will have one available for customers on site and also offer a discount if they wish to use their own. We have recently made a connection with 2minute Beach Clean, a local charity dedicated to ridding the beaches of our rubbish and from summer 2019 will be donating the saving customers make by bringing their own cups to the campaign.
We are constantly trying to improve our energy efficiency and use solar and LED for all our lighting needs on the stall. Much thought has also been put into building and crafting the trailer, and has been built from recycled and upcycled bits we have or found. All the personal care and attention given, creates a very distinctive stall that reflects our principles.

In 2015 we won sustainable green trader GOLD award at Glastonbury festival and short listed again in 2019. This was an amazing acheivement and recognition for all our hard work.
